New proportioning valve and brake lines for my fox body mustang - Now that we have the gutted brake distribution block complete, we can put it back together, install it and start installing the brake hard lines. I have to route them under my subframe connector so I ended up adding a union. I tried to do some brake line flaring but I'm absolutely certain I screwed it up. I also installed a motorsport proportioning valve but I have to cut the lines again and shorten them.
This is a short version of how to gut your fox body Mustang (or possibly other fox body vehicle's) stock brake distribution block. The block and plugs are brass. The larger plug has a rubber bumper in the middle of it. You need to either remove that plug and braze the hole shut or buy the solid plug from LMR and replace it. If you don't replace it, the brake pressure will easily pop the rubber plug out and drain your master cylinder leading to brake failure and possible catastrophe.
Gutting my fox body brake distribution block and prep the hard-lines for install - In this video we gut the stock fox body brake distribution block and prep the intermediate hard-lines for installation. I also put the hardware back on the rear sway bar and the steering column.
My LED fireplace stopped rotating. In this video, step-by-step, I opened it up, removed the old motor, replaced it, and got it working again. Including all the stumbling I did along the way. It's a super easy repair anyone can do with basic tools.
Removing rust and old seam sealer, preparing to paint the firewall - In this video we start cleaning up the rusty firewall but there's a few parts I also started to clean-up as well first. We have a plan and I'm sticking to it! When hell-spawn Grindy commands us to grind, we get in the garage and grind.
It's the two year anniversary of Sleazy's Garage on YouTube. In this video I give a mostly foxbody-centric state of the build update, some channel stats from the last year, quick discussion on the build plan and future of the channel, and finally an ask me anything fireside chat. Huge thanks to you the viewers and here's to another year of great progress on the 89!
Rubberized undercoating fumes can make you lightheaded - Yes, this is the last underbody restoration video I will be doing! I wasn't sure what I was going to do in this video at first but the weather changed. So in this video I'm spraying in the rest of the underbody with Eastwood rubberized undercoating. We ended up using 1 full can and about 1/2 of another can of Eastwood Rubberized Undercoating.
When you've done too many underbody videos and are just about done with this part of the restoration already...
We're in wirewheel-hell, join us! - In this video I channeled dark powers to finish the wire wheeling of the underbody. Then I painted the whole thing with rust reformer. Next step, a couple of holes to fix and then we can undercoat it.
