Finally putting the brake pads and brake lines in on my cobra rear disc brake conversion on my fox body Mustang restomod. I also jury rigged the rear brake bracket to the upper control arm brace. A couple of channel announcements as well.
Painting the firewall of my fox body mustang with a BRUSH 🤢 - So I finally got around to patching that extra hole I made in the floor pan. It's not pretty. But I also seam sealed and painted the whole thing with POR-15. With a brush... Not entirely sure if I like how it came out. It also made a massive mess because I didn't mask the holes. But I didn't mask them because the edges of the holes are dimpled in in such a way that I don't think it would have helped much.
It pains me to make this video but after doing some research I don't see any other way to go...
Quick short of reinstalling the brake intermediate line on my foxbody Mustang restomod. It required a union so I could install it through the sub-frame connector like the line I took off. I love that this short makes it look like I nailed the flares the first time every time when it took me like 3 or 4 tries for each one and two different flaring kits. lol
Quick short of reinstalling the brake distribution block I gutted and painted in last weeks videos.
New proportioning valve and brake lines for my fox body mustang - Now that we have the gutted brake distribution block complete, we can put it back together, install it and start installing the brake hard lines. I have to route them under my subframe connector so I ended up adding a union. I tried to do some brake line flaring but I'm absolutely certain I screwed it up. I also installed a motorsport proportioning valve but I have to cut the lines again and shorten them.
This is a short version of how to gut your fox body Mustang (or possibly other fox body vehicle's) stock brake distribution block. The block and plugs are brass. The larger plug has a rubber bumper in the middle of it. You need to either remove that plug and braze the hole shut or buy the solid plug from LMR and replace it. If you don't replace it, the brake pressure will easily pop the rubber plug out and drain your master cylinder leading to brake failure and possible catastrophe.
Gutting my fox body brake distribution block and prep the hard-lines for install - In this video we gut the stock fox body brake distribution block and prep the intermediate hard-lines for installation. I also put the hardware back on the rear sway bar and the steering column.
My LED fireplace stopped rotating. In this video, step-by-step, I opened it up, removed the old motor, replaced it, and got it working again. Including all the stumbling I did along the way. It's a super easy repair anyone can do with basic tools.
