My project car gets power for the first time in over 20 years! The last time this car had a battery in it and electrons flowing through the chassis harness, the iPod wasn't on the market yet. Well all that changed, and we have to get ready to start up an engine soon.
In this sponsored video, we check out the CGSULIT SC530 OBDII scanner. Huge thanks to CGSULIT for providing the scanner. It's got some great features and performs really well as a live data scanner. But watch the video for my full verdict.
Like many others, after seeing these on brew2l I pre-ordered them and then totally forgot about it. I've been burnt on quite a few pre-orders and kickstarters in my time so I'm pumped that these turned out to be legit.
Foxbody starter solenoid/relay wire tuck install - Finally getting the new starter solenoid installed in the fender area on some nut-serts/rivnuts. Also re-painting the door one more time after the last time was such a huge failure.
Decided to take a more modern approach to the drivetrain in the mustang restomod...
Before and after tap test putting siless sound deadener under the roof of my fox body mustang restomod project car.
Wiring up my restomods battery - Yes, this is a full video on just installing a battery into the resto-mod mustang. Look, I know this is a super simple thing, but this car hasn't had a battery installed in over 20 years! It's a big deal to me. But, it's not just the battery, I also ended up installing a bus bar near the front of the car and securing the battery cables with some really nice rubber clamps. Technically both the positive and negative ends of the battery have been completely and properly terminated!
Wiring up the Aeromotive fuel pump kit in my fox body restomod project. I'll probably have to adjust either the mounting location or the hardware I used at some point. You can also see the miserable job I did with the seam sealer on the door. And finally I tried putting down some SEM trim black just to see what would happen and it had a reaction with some of the other paint that was on the door.
Connecting the battery disconnect and prepping for the megagigawatts - It's the middle of the winter here in the north-east US but somehow the weather was beautiful, around 60F. I was able to push the fox body out of the garage and work on the electrical system. Installed the Flaming River FR1003-2 big switch and lever kit (not sponsored). Ran into some questionable things though, can you help me out?
Back on the Mustang project today, we're trying to seam seal the door and remove the tint before the window goes back in.
